Hello! My name is Penelope Geannopulos, and I am a Senior at Syracuse University. While I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, I am French-American. I grew up in a bilingual household, with my father being from Chicago and my mother being born and raised in Paris, France. This has given me the ability to speak French and English.
I am currently studying Public Relations at the Newhouse School of Public Communications and earning a minor in fashion design. My work experience has included working for Otherwise, a branding and marketing company; the Lycée Français de Chicago in its communication department; hosting; and Camp counseling. I was also a part of Fetch magazine, one of Syracuse University's many fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazines.
In my free time, I am a part of Orange Pulse, a dance organization on my campus. I am passionate about working in the entertainment industry, whether that be film, fashion, music, or sports. I would love to be a part of the team that connects these businesses to the public. Finally, I love to travel.
What's My Purpose?
I am extremely passionate about fashion, entertainment, and art, and finding a way to intersect these industries with communications. I have been avid about learning the art of communicating honestly, effectively, and creatively through different avenues. Whether it be through engaging slide presentations, graphic design, or persuasive email pitches, I am excited to keep working along this dynamic path.
